Celebrating the International Day of Girls in the ICT Sector, as established by the United Nations and observed every fourth Thursday in April, highlights the importance of empowering girls to pursue careers in ICT without being constrained by stereotypes. By encouraging girls to explore their own abilities and talents, rather than being influenced by societal norms, this project plays a vital role in promoting gender equality and diversity in the technology sector.

All over the world, various events and manifestations are organized worldwide on the International Day of Girls in the ICT Sector. Providing girls with opportunities to showcase their talents in workshops and learn about modern technologies is invaluable for inspiring interest and confidence in pursuing careers in ICT. Serbia began celebrating the Day of Girls in the ICT sector as early as 2011, in the organization of the Association of Business Women of Serbia and international partner the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The NS Promo Team strongly supported this project, striving to empower girls to follow their dreams.
By opening the doors of her agency and sharing her personal journey, Svetlana Gašević provided girls with valuable insights into the world of entrepreneurship. Svetlana Gašević showcased her journey and accomplishments during her successful 15-year career and the impressive portfolio of NS Promo Team, with hundreds of clients and over 500 projects in digital marketing, event management, and video production.

On this occasion, we hosted girls from the eighth grade of the “Branko Radićević” elementary school from Novi Sad and provided them with a valuable firsthand experience of the creative environment within a marketing agency. By showcasing the result of diligent, persistent, and quality work, we have offered these young girls a glimpse into the possibilities and opportunities that await them through dedication and hard work. The message we conveyed to them is that constant education, diligent work, quality, dedication, professionalism, and consistency are essential for survival and success.

We believe that we have contributed at least a little to young people realizing the importance of knowledge which has the power to break down stereotypes, but also empower self-confidence, faith, and courage.
