15 Signature programs. One Goal: An experience to remember

12

Through NS Promo Team, under the creative direction of its owner, Svetlana Gašević, around 30 original event concepts have been developed — from the initial idea, concept and content to the visual direction, scenography and the overall audience experience.

Each programme is a world of its own, with its own rules, values and a clear reason for existing. Bringing each idea to life in front of an audience required the coordination of a large number of people and diverse areas of expertise – including set design, costume and prop production, animation, performers, production and on-site execution.

In this article, we highlight 15 programmes that best represent the way we approach and think about events.

The first concepts were developed in response to shopping centres looking to offer their visitors something beyond traditional entertainment. We did not want to create simply a series of disconnected activities designed to fill several hours of programming. We wanted to create entire worlds.

Worlds with their own stories, characters, atmosphere, scenography and a clear purpose behind their existence. Worlds created primarily for children, but designed to engage parents, families and the wider audience as well.

Today, our programmes are part of city festivals, tourism organisation events, family days, corporate celebrations, shopping centre activations and a wide range of public events.

The spaces, audiences and formats have changed over time, but the question we start from has remained the same:

  • What value will visitors experience during the programme, what will it bring them, and what will they take away once the event is over?
  • Will they, even for a moment, feel as though they have stepped into a forgotten fairy tale or another era?
  • Will they leave with a message about the importance of empathy, helping those in need, courage and togetherness?
  • Will they learn something new, discover an unfamiliar world, or see something familiar from a completely different perspective?

Our programmes are rooted in the belief that the sense of wonder found in childhood is neither naive nor insignificant. Quite the opposite.

It holds some of the earliest and most important lessons we learn: that a good deed can change the course of a story, that obstacles are easier to overcome together, that courage does not mean the absence of fear, and that helping others has value even when we expect nothing in return.

That is why children are not simply observers in our original stories. They explore, help, solve tasks, collaborate, create, and influence the outcome of the programme through their own actions. We draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources. From fairy tales and our need to imagine. From the desire to play, create and preserve our curiosity. From the need to discover other cultures, places, nature, science, music and art. But also from the idea that familiar things can be used in unexpected ways and transformed into entirely new experiences.

This is how old Baghdad became the setting for Tales from the Magic Lamp, while Exotic Island became the world of Tiki, guardian of the island, nature and important life values.

Observing children’s simple habits and rituals inspired the creation of Santa’s Toy Factory and Sweet World, filled with giant sweets.

Curiosity about what the world around us is made of and how matter changes led to the creation of the Chemistry Playroom.

And the desire to play together, as a team and in ways that feel different from playing at home, gave rise to an entire world of Brain and Jumbo Games.

Each theme is different, but the intention remains the same: to inspire children to do something meaningful, feel, learn and remember.

Because a good programme should do more than simply entertain. It should spark curiosity, evoke emotion and leave behind something of value that children carry with them long after the scenography has been taken down.

Through these photographs, we present 15 original programmes developed through imagination, creative development, testing, experimentation, refinement and extensive production work. These are not simply activities placed within a venue. They are stories audiences step into, experiences they become part of, and values that remain long after the event is over.
